This grape variety has remote origins on the Brescia side of Lake Garda.
Marzemino grapes are hand-picked and vinified using traditional red wine technique, with a seven-day maceration period followed by fermentation with selected yeasts and maturation and aging in steel barrels .
The velvety and intense red color is accompanied by a harmonious scent of berries "under spirit "and a spicy and slightly herbaceous note. It goes well with red meats, structured dishes including game or venison, the typical Brescian spit and aged cheeses. Serve at 16'-18' decant and oxygenate 20 minutes beforehand.
